LDS/FYI

Thomas & Elizabeth left England June 4, 1868 on sailing ship "John Bright". Thomas and Elizabeth joined the church in England, came to Salt Lake but were not sealed to each other. He was subject to Epalepsi. They were divorced just one year and three months after arriving in Salt Lake. Elizabeth married James Bird and was sealed to him in Endowment House 8 Feb 1870. The children of Thomas and Elizabeth were sealed by proxy in the Salt Lake Temple to Elizabeth and James Bird on 6 Nov 1958.

Uncle Preston Hunt said that Thomas was sealed to Mary Chapman in the Endowment House on 23 Nov. 1870. She was a friend from England and after both Thomas and Mary had died, Elizabeth Day, daughter of Thomas, had them sealed together. She never came to America.

When the policy was changed that allowed one women to be sealed to more than one man, Elizabeth was sealed to Thomas and their children sealed to them both.
