This memorial card was found in daughter Emma Day Hunt's papers and the original is in the possession of great-granddaughter Lisa Michelle.Lucy Philena was born 21 Jan 1853 in Hamblin, Washington County, Utah to David Canfield and Elizabeth Story Depuy Canfield.
Lucy married Thomas Carlos Emmett and then later married John Day, Sr.
She died 1 May 1901 and was buried in the Hamblin Cemetery. Hamblin became a ghost town after a big flood came through. The cemetery is on a hill and well preserved, although the road there is best traveled in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
