Ellen Day was born 10 Aug 1855 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. She immigrated to Utah where she married George Henry Smith on 9 Oct 1871 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were the parents of three children including: They were the parents of: Henry Day Smith 1872-1948; George William smith 1875-1951; and Harriet Ellen Smith 1877-1878. George Henry died in 1878 leaving behind a widow age 26, and three small children.Later she married Arthur W. Croxford (between 1900 and 1910). They had no children. He was born 1 Sep 1859, died 7 Oct 1940.
Ellen died on 14 Aug 1929 in Tooele, Utah.(Corrections to previous post made 1/1/09 after correspondence with Laurel Cady, a direct line descendant .)
